International Symposium on Wind Instrument Acoustics
An International Symposium on Wind Instrument Acoustics will take place from 12-13 July 2009, at the Reid Concert Hall, University of Edinburgh.
The Meeting is organised by the UK Musical Acoustics Network, in association with the Musical Acoustics Group of the Institute of Acoustics and the Technical Committee on Musical Acoustics of the European Acoustics Association, and is
intended to cover wind instruments acoustics in all its aspects: woodwind and brasswind, historic and modern instruments, theoretical and experimental, modelling and synthesis. Participants in this international meeting will present the results of their recent research, network with colleagues, and enjoy social activities. This event will also celebrate the 150th anniversary of the opening of the Reid Concert Hall Museum of Instruments.
Moderate-cost accommodation has been arranged in Edinburgh at Pollock Halls, in a spectacular location at the foot of Arthur's Seat. This can be booked together with booking for the meeting.

It would be helpful in planning the meeting if intending participants in the Conference could notify Arnold Myers as soon as possible (preferably by -email) whether or not you intend to give a paper.
