Student event during/after the EAA Auralization Symposium in Finland in June?

from 15th to 17th of June, 2009 the EAA Auralization Symposium is taking place in Espoo, Finland (http://auralization.tkk.fi/EAAsymposium09). Christian Borss from germany came up with the idea to organize a student event aside or after the conference. This could be some sightseeing in Espoo, Helsinki, but maybe also a hiking tour or something similar. Suggestions are very welcome.

Before we can start to organize such an event, we need to find out how many of you are interested in such an event.  Therefore, I would like to ask all of you who will be at the symposium and who are interested, please give a short reply here.

Of course it would be very nice to have some support by Finnish students, with knowledge about the country and region.

Hi, Finland is one of the European countries which I have not visited yet and the Symposium might be a great opportunity to do so. So my idea was to spent some days after the conference for sightseeing. Also the Midsummer fest Juhannus (20./21.06.) might be a nice experience. My plans are to spent 3 days in the surrounding of Helsinki and to flight back on Sunday morning. So, a long hiking would not be an option. But I would be interested in visiting Helsinki and the island Seurasaari. I've been told that the people in Finland spent the time during Juhannus their Mökki, a Finish cottage. Maybe we could find someone who let us such a Mökki for a couple of days... Greetings from Germany, Christian
